“Thoughts of Transformation” Original Artwork

This wood burned piece is 18 x 24 inches, created on cradled birch. I first woodburn the piece and then layer with watercolor to create a dreamscape of the intangible. The sides of the piece are also wood burned and measure 3/4 of an inch thick. (Wood-burning is pyrography, which translates to ‘burning with fire’.)

Each piece has a poem attached to it, inviting further contemplation into our experiences here in earth.
