“Sometimes, We Are Magic” Original Artwork

This original wood-burned piece is 12 X 12 inches, created on cradled birch. I first woodburn the piece, then paint with watercolor, and coat with several layers of UV spray. The sides of the piece measure 1/2 of an inch thick.) Wood-burning is also known as pyrography, which translates to ‘burning with fire’.)

Each piece has a poem attached to it, inviting further contemplation into our experiences here in earth.

The poem that goes along with the piece is:

"Sometimes we are as magic,
as the deep blue star-lined sky,

And sometimes we learn
from something
as small as a butterfly.... "
