“Prayers for Peace in a Troubled World” Original Artwork

This original wood-burned piece is 18 x 24 inches, created on cradled birch. I first woodburn the piece and then layer with watercolor and spray with several coats of UV spray. The sides of the piece are also wood-burned and measure 3/4 of an inch thick. (Wood-burning is also known as pyrography, which translates to ‘burning with fire’.)

Each piece has a poem attached to it, inviting further contemplation into our experiences here in earth.

The poem that goes along with the piece is:

Prayers for peace in a troubled world…
There are angels on the horizon…
Let the events of the future unfurl…
As the sun and moon keep rising….
