“Dreaming of Japan” Original Artwork

This original wood-burned piece is 12 X 12 inches, created on cradled birch. I first woodburn the piece, then paint with watercolor, and coat with several layers of UV spray. (Wood-burning is also known as pyrography, which translates to ‘burning with fire’.)

Each piece has a poem attached to it, inviting further contemplation into our experiences here in earth.

The poem that goes along with the piece is:

Dreaming of mountains, oceans, and beautiful land…
And the day I get to travel
To lovely Japan…
